The fabric is made out of either spandex or polyester giving the effect of a legging, but the texture & resemblance of denim
"Treggings" - leggings designed to be worn like trousers, basically an ultra skinny jean.
The benefit - that they can be worn without some kind of long garment covering the crotch, making it even easier to show off some legs.
