I'M STUCK IN JAPAN!!

So apparently there is some sort of volcano erupting in Russia where we couldn't fly over it because of the cloud it's causing?!

Sooo... my plane gets delayed for like 2 hrs or so on the runway at JFK & then we had to fly the opposite way I think (toward Cali) in order to get to Toyko. Needless to say, the flight wound up to be longer than expected (16+hrs) and we missed our connecting flight to Shanghai & have to stay in Tokyo for the night!

The airline has accomodated us w/ a nice hotel & transportation to the aiport. The room is small & quaint. But the bathroom on the other hand is quite tricky. Believe me when I say this.. I CAN NOT figure out how to FLUSH the toilet?!! It's ridiculous actually. I mean you would think this would be an easy task?

Anyway, just thought you guys would get a kick out of this little adventure (of course haven't even made it to China yet and there is already drama) lol!

I fly to Shanghai at like 6:30am.. which is 6:30pm in NY.. not sure if I should just stay up at this point or take a cat nap... but hope to hear from you guys soon!
